NES has a new Tanberg portable unit that that allows students to take remote classes (distance learning). The equipment was purchased through an RUS Grant that funded a dozen schools in Region 9. The unit is truly portable because all that is needed to connect to a remote classroom is a standard internet hook-up.
Region 9 will be offering Virtual Field Trips for students to participate in via the new distance learning equipment. Teachers should check the schedule of events below for appropriate classes. Since the unit is portable, it can be moved to many areas at NES for convenient viewing. The unit cannot be moved to other buildings because of its size. To reserve the equipment call Mr. Peyton or Bill Spencer.
